HI.DEA DISPENSER PRESENTED AT INAIL
HIPAC’s HI.DEA dispenser was presented at INAIL, as part of the first “International Conference on Safety & Innovation” held at the agency’s headquarters in Rome from March 11-13, 2025.
During the event, HIPAC presented its case-history titled “Ergonomics, workplace safety and pallet stability: the Dea project and the new HI.DEA dispenser,” which highlighted the operator benefits of using the innovative HI.DEA dispenser in combination with technical films and in low thicknesses, which guarantee excellent performance with important environmental and economic pluses.

During the panel dedicated to HIPAC, led by Moreno Busti (HIPAC R&D Manager, pictured above), the results of a study conducted in collaboration with the University of Parma (Unipr) were presented. The study looked at a comparison between a traditional scenario, in which the operator manually wraps a pallet with traditional standard film, and an innovative scenario made possible by the combination of using a technical film with low thickness, no cardboard core, and a high percentage of recycled plastic (555 Rigid NetRoll with 60% recycled plastic from Post-Consumer- PCR) and the HI.DEA dispenser, which allows the operator to maintain a correct posture during manual wrapping operations, avoiding bending and potentially dangerous positions for the onset of musculoskeletal problems.
The two scenarios were compared using three official and internationally recognized methodologies, such as the HAPO LEA software based on the RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment, a survey method developed for ergonomic analysis in the workplace) approach, the Hand Wrapper Tester (HWT) system, and the Eumos (European Safe Logistics Association) acceleration test.
All three tests recorded results in favor of the new scenario, showing significant savings in film consumption (as much as -55 percent) with important economic, environmental and load stability benefits.
Ergonomic, lightweight and practical, the new HI.DEA dispenser, designed and patented by HIPAC, is therefore the ideal solution for all logistics companies and their operators who wish to embrace the manual packaging revolution.
HIPAC will present the HI.DEA dispenser to the general public as part of the Ipack-Ima trade show (Milan, May 27-30, 2025), with “live” demonstrations related to the use of the dispenser itself inside the booth (Hall 10, Stand E11-F20).
