Renewed the ‘Plastic Second Life’ certification
The HIPAC Group has always believed in the valorisation of plastics as a fundamental element in the realisation of the circular economy.
For this reason, the Group’s strategy has long been strongly oriented towards the production of high quality sustainable products, obtained through the conscious recovery of certified plastic materials, thus guaranteeing the protection of the environment and the safety of our customers.
Today we are pleased to share a new significant milestone in our journey towards sustainability.
HIPAC SPA has achieved the renewal of the ‘Plastica Seconda Vita’ certification issued by IPPR – Istituto per la Promozione delle Plastiche da Riciclo (Institute for the Promotion of Recycling Plastics), confirming the quality of our stretch film that incorporates between 30% and 60% recycled plastic, both from post-consumer (PCR) and industrial waste (PIR).
This success also extends to HIPAC ROMANIA, which has obtained the same certification, enabling it to produce stretch film with guaranteed traceability of recycled material.
IBERHIPAC, the Spanish subsidiary of the HIPAC Group, already boasts AENOR (equivalent to Plastica Seconda Vita) certification, issued by the main ENAC accredited certification body for the traceability of recycled plastic materials.
All plants of the HIPAC Group can therefore rely internationally on certifications based on the UNE-EN 15343 standard, which includes the necessary procedures for traceability of recycled plastics: a step forward that demonstrates a tangible commitment to environmental sustainability.
